At the Southern Area competion in Crawley on the 11th March James earned the last 10 points ( 100 required ) for his Black Belt. He did his theory in April last year and was very pleased to gain his Black belt at the age of 16 ( 2 days before his 17th Birthday ) ... If he hadnt done it competititively it would have taken 5 years . It has been a hard year of rule changes including no 7point wazaris and no awasete ippon till the rules changed again in Early February.

Well done James on the start of a new journey... his next goal is a European Cup Medal.
